No school absence thanks to sanitary pads

Many young girls in Kenya stay at home during their period. They don’t have any sanitary pads or tampons which makes it quite uncomfortable to spend a day at school. ICS Africa donated 11.136 sanitary pads to the girls at St. Joseph Primary School, so they don’t have to miss any lesson these coming months.

Maureen Buyu, working as a Skillful Parenting trainer for ICS Africa, held a motivational speech to encourage the girls to keep on going to school. “Focus on your education, make sure you are disciplined. It’s the key to success. Whenever you take good care of yourself you can positively influence your future and increase your possiblities and choices.“

Still a bit shy with the situation but it is quite handy though!
