ICS is looking for investors

Does your organization or foundation has experience in investing in social agronomic enterprises or does it have your interest? To increase the impact of our businesses in the coming years we are looking for investment partners who would like to realise, together with us, sustainable economic and social development for farming families in East Africa.

ICS has years of experience as an NGO in rural areas of East-Africa. We know the local communities and governments inside out. Our three social enterprises are based on market-oriented business models so that sustainability is ensured:

Agrics: input & credits for smallholder farmers in Tanzania & Kenya;
Alizetics: trade business in sunflower seeds, providing small farmers in Tanzania access to a market;
Geodatics: makes use of satellite and geo data to advise smallholder farmers on their plot of land.

Investing

Investments can consist of financing working capital, equity or a loan. Combinations are also possible, just as sharing expertise. Rabobank Foundation, Achmea Foundation, African Enterprise Challenge Fund and Common fund for Commodities are already investing in our businesses!
