Vijana Reloaded kicks off with first trainees

Vijana Reloaded is a brand new schooling in western Kenya. The first 12 trainees have started today after a selection procedure. The schooling is geared toward young people who are highly capable and bursting with ambition but who are nevertheless jobless.

Record number of farmers buy seeds on credit

In western Kenya no less than 15.104 farmers are interested in buying agricultural products on credit. That’s 4 times as many as last year. The farmers have the possibility to buy seeds, fertilizer, chickens and solarlights and pay back in installments.

No school absence thanks to sanitary pads

Many girls in Kenya stay at home during their period. They don’t have any sanitary pads which makes it quite uncomfortable to spend a day at school. ICS Africa donated 11.136 sanitary pads to the girls at St. Joseph Girls Primary School, so they don’t have to miss any lesson these coming month
